The "Information Technologies in Medicine 2020" International Congress was held on 15-16 October 2020.
This year the Congress was held online for the first time. In two days 1,853 specialists representing 83 regions of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, the UK, and Israel attended the event.
Our team took part in an exhibition of IT solutions. During this exhibition, the participants could present their projects both in the format of an online stand and in the science program of the congress.
The main areas of focus of this year's scientific program were: digital health, medical statistics, analytics, quality and efficiency of medical care, medical information systems, end-to-end solutions in health care, including AI technologies.
Plenary sessions, round tables, open discussions with the participation of all leading specialists and experts of the industry segment were organized.
The K-SkAI company together with the National Medical Knowledge Base (NBMZ) Association held a seminar on the following topic: "Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: Current Situation, Problems, Prospects, Regulatory Field, Practice of Implementation in Healthcare, Prospects for the Health Care System".
Andrey Salikov, Chief Commercial Officer of Webiomed, made a speech at the seminar on the following topic: "Prospects of predictive analytics based on Webiomed machine learning in the implementation of national healthcare goals in the Russian Federation." In his report, Andrey spoke about the use of predictive analytics methods for assessing disease risks in clinical practice.
“As part of the discussion, all the participants showed an understanding that there are many barriers and problems on the way to the development of artificial intelligence in the healthcare of the Russian Federation.
However, despite all the obstacles, there are already clear examples of the practical implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in regional healthcare systems, which show very decent results and help both healthcare organizers and local medical professionals in their work,” stated Andrey Salikov.
At the end of the congress, the results of the "Best IT solution for healthcare 2020" competition were summed up. Based on the voting results, the Webiomed system received the winner’s award.
