The Russian National Congress of Cardiology 2021 was held in St. Petersburg on October 21-23, 2021.

Tatyana Kuznetsova and Denis Gavrilov, the medical experts of Webiomed, took part in the congress.

The Russian National Congress of Cardiology is the largest and most significant annual event for Russian cardiologists and specialists of other related subjects. For the first time, several academic sessions devoted to digital cardiology and artificial intelligence were held within the framework of the congress.

On the first day of the Congress, ‘Digital Cardiology’ symposium was held, which was dedicated to the processing of ultrasound studies and ECG, telemedicine, digitalization of biomedicine and the role of digital in arterial hypertension.

Within the framework of the ‘Wearable Devices, Artificial Intelligence - Technologies of The Future in Cardiology" symposium, Tatyana Kuznetsova made a presentation on machine learning methods for assessing cardiovascular risk, its current opportunities and real experience of application.

Tatyana spoke about machine learning predictive models and their results in real clinical practice.

In the final plenary session, Professor Roberto Ferrari (Italy) presented his vision of the near future of cardiological research in a lecture: "How will the near future change in the context of new research in cardiology?". He talked about digital technologies that will help people live not just longer, but better. He spoke about the current move from a “disease control” system to a true “health care” system so that the goal of medicine is to maintain human well-being, and not just respond to clinical episodes, events, and diseases. Obviously, within 10 or 15 years, the diagnosis will be made using sensors, artificial intelligence and genetic information.

Thus, healthcare will integrate data analysis, artificial intelligence, sensor-based technologies and big data. Patients in this new system will not be as passive as now, and the sprouts of this future medicine are already emerging.
