SberMedAI (a part of the Sberbank ecosystem) and K-SkAI, a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation, have signed a cooperation agreement. K-SkAI's AI-powered predictive analytics and healthcare risk assessment services, powered by Webiomed, are now included in the digital platform of the Medical Digital Diagnostic Center (MDDC).
Webiomed is the first Russian artificial intelligence system for healthcare that has successfully passed independent clinical trials and is registered by Roszdravnadzor as a software medical device. It is the first AI system connected to the Unified State Health Information System (USHIS).
Due to combining the efforts of two technology companies, the physicians who use the MDDC platform will have access to advanced tools for predicting the development of 40 diseases of the main disease areas which are among the leading causes of death in Russia. The list included cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, blood diseases and others.
The Webiomed service of predictive analytics uses anonymized data of more than 200 million documents collected during the system operation in 11 regions of Russia. By analyzing existing data, the system determines risk factors and provides clinicians with recommendations on treatment tactics, as well as the need for additional examinations. The final decision, however, always lies with the doctor. The system operates medical data in order to predict the possible development of diseases and their complications, both at the personal and population levels.
Thanks to the implementation of the system, the physicians using MDDC have the opportunity to receive help and support in making clinical decisions. The help relies on predictive analytics data, and the support will reduce the number of medical errors, reduce decision-making time and allow physicians to quickly use all modern clinical guidelines in practice, as well as allow healthcare organizers to simplify the creation of management analytics for decision-making.
Igal Zak, the CEO of SberMedAI:
“The consolidation of Russian digital solutions that use artificial intelligence technologies for the analysis of medical data on our platform increases the accuracy of diagnostics, makes it more personal and effective. This allows partner clinics not only to reduce the time for diagnosis and research, but to identify dangerous conditions at their early stages more effectively, which is extremely important for reducing morbidity and mortality."
Roman Novitsky, the CEO of K-SkAI:
“The development strategy of Webiomed is based on partnership, and a balanced and responsible attitude to the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in practical healthcare. We are glad to cooperate with the SberMedAI team, as it will allow both of our teams to implement effective joint projects in the field of digital medicine."
SberMedAI (www.sbermed.ai) is an ecosystem integrator of advanced solutions that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for medicine. SberMedAI is a part of the PJSC Sberbank group.
